How to submit an application from Bosnia-Herzegovina or Kosovo

In July 2009 the Canadian Embassy in Sarajevo ceased its operations. Clients are required to deal directly with the Embassy of Canada in Vienna for all visa and immigration matters.

How to submit different types of applications:

Family class applications: All applications for sponsored family class members must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Canada. For more information on how to pay and where to submit your application, refer to Sponsoring Your Family.

Federal skilled workers: All applicants in the Federal Skilled Worker Class must submit their initial application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Canada. Applicants from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo may pay the processing fee to the Embassy of Canada in Vienna. Once you have paid and have received a receipt from the Embassy in Vienna, you must submit your application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Canada. Do not send your application file to the Vienna visa office. Please read how to pay and how to submit your application | PDF * (92 KB) for the required form, more information and instructions. For more information on how to submit your application, refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.
