Who may apply at this office?
The Visa Office of the Canadian Embassy in Vienna is responsible for the processing of temporary resident applications (visitor visas, study and work permits) as well as applications for permanent residence (immigration) submitted by persons residing in Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia. In addition it is responsible for applications for permanent residence of residents of Montenegro and Serbia.
As of 21 of December, residents of the Czech Republic can apply for a temporary resident visa at the Canadian Embassy in Prague.

How to apply for your visa in Vienna
You can find application forms, instructions, general information, as well as the list of fees to apply for a temporary resident visa (visitor) here. As indicated on the fee schedule, fees can be paid in the Czech Republic, as well as in many other countries.
Each application will be assessed on its own merits. There is no guarantee that your visa application will be approved.
How to send your completed application to Vienna
You can send your application, machine readable passport and supporting documents (including original proof of fees) to the Visa Section of the Canadian Embassy in Vienna several ways:
Work and study permits must be applied for in Vienna
You can submit your application in person, by mail or by commercial courier to the Canadian Embassy in Vienna.
If you are a new applicant in one of the Youth Mobility programs, you must apply at the Canadian Embassy in Prague and include your machine readable passport in your application. The Embassy in Prague will determine whether or not you meet the criteria for such programs and will liaise directly with the Visa Section in Vienna as is currently the case.
Travel agents
The Visa Section of the Canadian Embassy in Vienna is pleased to offer Travel Agencies the possibility of submitting visa applications to its office for rapid processing. A specific time for drop-off and pick-up will facilitate planning and limit the time required for each visit to Vienna. The turnaround time for travel agencies is presently set at 3 working days. Travel agencies must be registered with the Visa Section as well as attend the information session.
If you are a Travel Agency and would like to set-up a drop-off service at the Canadian Embassy in Vienna for Czech nationals applying for a visa to travel to Canada, please send an e-mail to vienn-visa@international.gc.ca. The title should say: TRAVEL AGENCY REGISTRATION. You should supply contact information, including an e-mail and a web-site address. You will be invited to an information session in Prague. At the session you will be asked to send an English speaking representative and submit proof that you operate legally in the Czech Republic.
The Visa Section of the Embassy in Vienna will communicate directly with you to inform your agency of the time of the next information session/Registration.
Travel agents can also submit applications in Prague. The processing time for all applications submitted in Prague is 10 working days.
