May 1, 2012 - IMPORTANT NOTICE
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada has been invited to review its operating and program expenses. This exercise is part of a broader effort to reduce the deficit, modernize the government, facilitate interactions between the Canadian population and the government, as well as to readjust the costs of governmental programs’ activities. Following the announcement of the 2012 budget, some changes have been made to the organization. These notably include the termination of certain programs. The Understanding Canada: Canadian Studies Program has effectively been terminated. Therefore, there will be no further grants issued under this program.
