Visas and Immigration

The Visa Section of the Embassy of Canada to Poland is responsible for processing visa applications for citizens and residents of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Citizens of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania do not require a visa to enter Canada as a visitor (unless a Lithuanian is travelling on a non-biometric passport issued before August 28 2006). Check the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website to see if you require a visa to enter Canada. However, persons, who intend to study or work in Canada, should apply for the appropriate permit.

If you are citizen or legal resident of Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania, visit the official website of the Embassy of Canada to Poland for information about visa and immigration services, to download application forms or submit an enquiry.

Submit applications in person

Visa application forms may also be obtained and submitted at the Canadian Embassy in Riga or the local offices in Tallinn and Vilnius. All applications are then sent to Warsaw for processing.

Local visa Reception hours are:

RIGA
MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY
9:30 - 12:30

TALLINN
MONDAY & FRIDAY
9:00 - 12:00

WEDNESDAY

14:00 – 17:00

VILNIUS

The processing of documents is approximately two weeks for single-entry visitor visas (may be longer for multiple-entry and other types of visas). Applicants are advised to initiate their visa application at least four weeks before their planned departure to Canada. Applicants must submit the application form as well as translated copies of the original documents, in English or French.
