The Embassy of Canada in Belgium has announced on March 28, 2013 the winners of the successful "Canada is cool" contest.
Is it time for you to discover Canada for yourself?
Canada is so cool that it's the only place on earth where you can actually manage to fly on your own! Nothing is cooler than that feeling of infinite freedom in the middle of that amazing nature, it gives you wings! To me, Canada is full of surprises and contrast that broaden your horizons and make you understand that nothing is impossible.
Canada is cool, because i love the way people live with each other and how Canadians respect the wildlife and there habitat! Canada is cool, because you can develop yourself in a positive way, in a positive environment!
Canada, larger than life: a snowshoe outing and a snow lump fight … a far cry from the snowballs in Belgium. Watch your back!
Cap-aux-Os, New Year's Day 2008, under a bright sun, breakfast overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Spotted some whales!
The Man, the Animal & the Wilderness ! We were going to the Slave River Paddlefest in Fort Smith (Northwest Territories) when, between Behchokǫ̀ and Fort Providence, we met this big buffalo! My friend, Marilou from Quebec city, get out of the truck and I took this picture! What a day! Don't you feel that amazing? So Canada is "cool" for that kind of emotions you won't live anywhere else. But, above all, Canada is so "cool" for these wonderful people, like Marilou, I have met!
We criss-crossed Canada's great outdoors in our Dodge, which doubles as an all-terrain vehicle and occasionally a van. It gives you the freedom to roam at will. Here we are on the shore of Bow Lake in the Rockies.
I think this photograph represents Canada as a whole: love, friendship, sunshine (in the figurative sense). Canada is the country of my heart, which "LOVE" sums up perfectly! There's no other place where you can feel so good!!!
Quebec is cool, because the view is always spectacular. Quebec is hard to define, because it slips through the valleys with the changing seasons, making it especially mysterious and alluring.
On Canada's highways, through colourful landscapes where you encounter the extraordinary, you naturally feel a zest for life. Freedom to think and to be, that's what Canada means to us.
"If you have a keen eye, Nature will teach you everything you need to know." -- Carlo Goldoni
Belgium may have Europe's most unusual building, but Canada also offers some artistic surprises ;-)
In Canada, nature and the great outdoors are larger than life. There's nothing cooler than having the privilege of being at Lake Louise, one of the rare place in North America where so many people coexist with so many bears.
