Job Opportunities
Part of the Embassy staff is composed of diplomats from the Canadian Foreign Service. They are recruited by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa; they are rotational employees who have diplomatic status when posted abroad. The normal length of a posting to Brussels is four years. For information on joining the Canadian Foreign Service, and writing the Foreign Service Exam, please refer to the Department of Foreign Affairs website.
The rest of the Embassy staff is locally engaged. They are are recruited by the Embassy. From time to time employment opportunites arise and the vacancies are posted below.
