Welcome to the website of the Canadian Consulate General in Boston. We are a part of a world-wide network of more than 200 Canadian diplomatic and consular offices. Along with the Canadian Embassy in Washington, Boston is one of 20 Canadian diplomatic offices located in the United States.

The role of the Canadian Consulate in Boston is to promote trade and investment links, including science and technology partnering. We also advance academic and cultural ties between Canada and the U.S., and assist Canadians living and visiting New England. The territory covered by this Consulate General includes the states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

On Friday, January 8, HOM Neil Le Blanc joined the Right Honourable Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Veterans Affairs Minister Greg Thompson, MA for New Brunswick Southwest at the official opening of the newly-constructed Canadian Port of Entry at St. Stephen, New Brunswick.  The construction of the St. Stephen facility is particularly significant as it represents the first new border crossing to the United States in Atlantic Canada in 30 years. The St. Stephen-Calais border crossing is the busiest commercial port in the New England territory, processing approximately 1.5 million travellers per year and providing access to major cities in New Brunswick and New England.
