The Consular Section of the Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou serves Canadian citizens in need of assistance. Our areas of responsibility are the provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan and Jiangxi. We are committed to providing effective and efficient service to all Canadians who come to our attention.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
After Hours Emergencies
Emergencies (accidents, deaths, detentions, etc.):
The Consular Section offers 24-hour emergency service to Canadians in distress. For emergency assistance after hours, call 108001400125 and follow the instructions. This number is toll free. If you are in Canada, you may make a collect call to Foreign Affairs in Ottawa at (613) 996-8885 or call toll-free to 1-800-387-3124 and a consular officer will be able to assist in communicating with our embassy.
The hours for Passport and Citizenship services are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 a.m. to12:00 noon. Please note there is no Passport and Citizenship service on Thursday.
Notary services, including Marriage Affidavits, by appointment only.

NB: Security measures are in effect, therefore visitors are asked not to bring backpacks and/or laptop computers with them when visiting the Consulate General. In addition, visitors are reminded that cell phones or other wireless devices such as Blackberries or Personal Data Assistants are not permitted inside the Consulate.
