Welcome to the internet site of the Visa Section of the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai. This site is not intended to explain in detail all of Canada's immigrant and non-immigrant programmes and policies. What this site does try to do is to give you specific information about the visa services that our office in Shanghai provides and any applications, processing fees and documents that we require to process an application for a visa.

Our mission is to assess Temporary Resident Visa applications from persons residing in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang provinces.

You may submit an application for a Temporary Resident Visa at this office if you are seeking to enter Canada to visit family or friends, for a business trip, tourism, to transit through Canada to another country, for short-term study (6 months or less), for employment, for returning students or a permanent resident who requires a Travel Document.
