Canadian Days in Prague, November 5-7

The Embassy of Canada in Prague will convene the fourth annual "Canadian Days" festival in Prague’s Municipal Library from November 5-7, 2014. Come to learn more about Canada, the Canadian Arctic, and studying in Canada through feature films, documentaries, presentations and discussions. Throughout "Canadian Days", Embassy staff will be on hand to answer questions about Canada, including opportunities for studying in Canada.

Friday, November 7

  • 11.00 Stories from Our Land (6 short films, 25 min., silent version, Canada 2011-2014) and Wapikoni - Encounter in Kitcisakik (documentary, 51 min., French with English subtitles, Canada 2009), preceded by presentation on studying in Canada.
  • 17.00 Canada and the Arctic
    Presentations on Czech and Canadian research in the Arctic by Dr. Elster, Director, Centre for Polar Ecology, Univ. of South Bohemia, in Czech
