
The Visa and Immigration Section at the Canadian Consulate in Detroit (United States) is closed and services transferred to the Canadian Consulate in New York or in Los Angeles.
If you received a letter from the Case Processing Pilot Office in Ottawa (CPP-O) requesting you to forward your passport(s) to our office for issuance of your permanent residence visas please note that we no longer accept such passports as we no longer have the capacity to issue these visas. Please forward your passports directly to CPP-O (By mail: CPP-Ottawa, PO Box 9780, Ottawa, ON K1G 4B9 / By Courier: CPP - Ottawa, 365 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, ON K1A 1L1).
If you received a letter from our office in Detroit requesting you to submit your passport(s) for issuance of your permanent residence visas or additional supporting documents regarding your permanent residence application, a temporary resident permit or criminal rehabilitation application you may send them to our office. We will continue to process these applications until early summer. Those applications that cannot be finalized by June will be transferred to our Consulate in New York. These applicants will be informed accordingly. Please note that your documents / passports should be sent to our street address in Detroit. Our postal box address in Windsor, Ontario should no longer be used.
