Canada’s New Biometric Requirement:
Starting in fall 2013, citizens of 29 countries and 1 territory will need to give biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph) and pay a biometric fee when they apply for a:
Some Visa Application Centres (VACs) are now collecting biometrics, and all VACs will offer this service by 2014. If you apply at a VAC that offers this service before the date you must give your biometrics, you can give your biometrics and get certain VAC application services at no cost.
