Fees - Algeria
These processing fees will not be reimbursed, no matter if the requested visa or permit is granted or not.
Applicants who reside in Algeria must pay processing fees in cash, in Algerian dinars (DA), when they submit their application to the Embassy of Canada in Algiers if they are applying for:
- a Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa)
- a Temporary Work Permit
- a Study Permit
- a Travel Document (for a permanent resident returning to Canada) or
- another service listed below.
Fees for Permanent Resident Visa applications can not be paid in person. They must be paid in Canadian dollars or in Euros. Obtain the instructions.
These instructions do not apply to payments for:
- Applications for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or Certificat d’Acceptation du Québec (CAQ). Please see: Immigration Quebec

The office in Algiers does not accept:
- Uncertified personal cheques
- Canadian postal orders
- Cash orders (postal services of other countries)
- Certified cheques in euros
- Bank card, credit or debit cards
- Currencies other than Algerian dinars

Payments in Algerian dinars must be at the rate indicated below. No other amounts will be accepted. Please note that the fee in Canadian dollars is provided for reference only.
