Method of Payment
Payment of the processing fees can be made as indicated below. No other form of payment will be accepted. Please consult the fee schedule for the amount to be paid in Canadian dollars or in Euros.
This method of payment does not concern:
- applications for a Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ) or Certificat d’Acceptation du Québec (CAQ). Please consult the following Website for more information on the method of payment for a CSQ and/or CAQ: Immigration-Québec
- participation fees for Youth Mobility Programs. Please see: Youth Mobility Programs Canada-France
- Family Class applications. Please see: Sponsoring your family.
- The following applications in the Economic category: Québec-selected skilled workers, provincial nominees, skilled workers and professionals, investors (except Quebec-selected investors). The processing fee for those applications must be sent by mail, with the application, to the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia (Canada). Please see: The Economic Category
In Euros
- In cash. Applicants who submit their application in person at the Embassy may pay the processing fees in cash.
Reminder: All applications should be sent by mail. Only urgent applications for temporary resident (visitor) visas, study permits, work permits (other than Youth Mobility Programs), or travel documents for permanent residents returning to Canada may be submitted in person. - By bank transfer, to the following account:

Information that will allow us to identify the principal applicant (the person applying for a visa) must be provided with the transfer: family name, given name(s) and date of birth.
Important: Please ensure that all transfer fees have been paid and that they will not be deducted from the amount payable to the Embassy.
If you pay by bank transfer, proof of payment (receipt issued by the bank) must be attached to the application form. The receipt must be legible and must show the date of the transfer. Please keep a copy for your own files before sending the receipt.
In Canadian Dollars
- In cash: applicants who submit their application in person at the Embassy may pay processing fees in cash.

Only urgent applications for temporary resident (visitor) visas, study permits, work permits (other than Youth Mobility Programs), or travel documents for permanent residents returning to Canada may be submitted in person. - By bank draft or certified cheque drawn on a Canadian bank and made out to the Canadian Embassy. Cheques issued in Canadian dollars by a bank located outside of Canada must clearly indicate the bank correspondent’s complete address and account number in Canada, this being the establishment through which the cheque may be cashed in Canada.
The bank draft or certified cheque must be sent with the application. Any cheque that is not certified, or any postal money order will be returned to the applicant with the application.
In Algerian Dinars(For Applicants Residing in Algeria Only)
Applicants who reside in Algeria must pay processing fees in cash, in Algerian dinars (DA), when they submit their application to the the Visa Application Center (VAC) in Algiers if they are applying for:
- a Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa)
- a Temporary Work Permit
- a Study Permit
- a Travel Document (for a permanent resident returning to Canada)
