INFORMATION REQUEST - PERMANENT RESIDENCE
IMPORTANT : We have put in place an electronic form to contact us. It should be used only if your request concerns an application for permanent residence.
If you wish to contact us regarding one of the following programs listed below :
- a temporary resident visa (visitor visa)
- a work permit
- a student permit
- the Working-Holiday Program
- the Intership Programs if you are a citizen of one of these countries: Belgium, France or Switzerland
do not use this electronic form. You will find the link to the appropriate electronic form at the bottom of each web page under those headings.
The Visas and Immigration section of the Embassy Web site is not intended for Canadians who wish to work in France. If that is your case, please consult the pages under Consular Services.
Please be sure to consult our website and FAQ (Frequently asked Questions) as well as the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website before sending us a request for information.
You should use the electronic form accessible from this page to contact us.
We will reply by the most appropriate means, not necessarily by email. We cannot respond to messages which are not in English or French, Canada’s official languages. Your message will be acknowledged and you will receive a reply within 28 working days. Please do not repeat your request within that timeframe.
For files that are already being processed at our office, we will answer your question only if the processing time is longer than the average processing time published on this site. Otherwise, you should understand that we received your message and that your file is being processed normally. Do not forget that because of postal delays, your application may take a week or more to reach us.
