Studying in Canada

For Students Destined to the Province of Québec

Pending receipt of your CAQ, you may not submit your Study Permit application to the Embassy of Canada in Paris except if you have to undergo a medical examination. Processing Time

Temporary Resident Visa:
Citizens from certain countries also require a Temporary Resident Visa in addition to a study permit, a Temporary Resident Visa. If this applies to you, please send your original passport along with your application. If the Study Permit application is approved, a Temporary Resident Visa will be issued at the same time without further fees.

Information for citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has announced that effective January 1, 2010, only the latest "B" series of DRC passports are acceptable for international travel and all earlier issued passports are no longer valid. Only DRC passports with serial numbers beginning with "OB", "SB" or "DB" are valid.

All new visa, study permit, temporary work permit or travel document applications must be accompanied by a valid "B" series passport.
