Cultural Relations: Dance

Canada is home to world reknowned ballet companies such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Canada's National Ballet School. They have been the home base and stepping stone to international careers for dancers such as Karen Kain and Evelyn Hart. Fans of modern dance throughout the world admire the performances of Canadian companies like LaLaLa Human Steps, the Toronto Dance Theatre, Dancemakers, Holy Body Tattoo and O'Vertigo.

Canada is home to a wide range of dance styles celebrated in festivals such as the CanAsian Dance Festival, the Fringe Festival of Independent Dance and the Kalanidhi Dance Festival.
