Consular fees and method of payment

Please ensure that you pay the current and correct fee. If a fee is not paid or is paid into the wrong account, or if an incorrect amount is paid, the processing of your application will be delayed.
Please understand that we are unable to refund small overpayments. We therefore recommend that you check the current fee before sending your application to us.

Passport fees will change on 1st July 2013.

How to pay consular fees

For International Experience Canada (IEC) applicants: Please note that you will receive individual payment instructions through the KOMPASS system. Do not pay into this account.

1. Bank transfer (Überweisung) or cash deposit to our account at:

Please include the following details under Verwendungszweck (purpose):

  • the name and date of birth (DOB) of the applicant and the service provided (e.g., passport, citizenship, notarial)

Please include proof of payment with your application.

2. Credit card

3. Cheque - drawn from German account only, payable to the Canadian Embassy.

4. Cash,  only if you appear in person at the embassy or at one of our consulates. Please make sure you have the exact amount.
