'The Future of Mobility' Art Competition - Terms and Conditions
Theme:
The theme of the art competition organized by the High Commission of Canada, in association with Bombardier, is "The Future of Mobility."
What do we mean by Mobility?
"Mobility" refers to the ability to move from one place to another whether it be transportation inside or between cities, towns and villages. It covers how transportation has evolved over time to meet the demands of a growing population and aims to address today’s environmental and economic challenges.
"Mobility" can revolve around these factors:
- Safe, affordable and comfortable modes of transport
- Advancements and innovation in transport technology and infrastructure
- Efficient travel by reduction of vehicles on the road
- Addressing environmental concerns
- Healthy lifestyle
It can include public transit systems (such as trams, metros or mono-rails), development of transport infrastructure, sustainable transportation, reducing our carbon footprint, educating people on alternative modes of transport (such as car-pooling), and cleaner and alternative fuels and energy. These and other innovative ideas are "Mobility".
