Defence Relations
The Defence Program in Indonesia is led by the Canadian Defence Attaché (CDA), who has three principle objectives:
- to establish and maintain effective contacts and good relations with the Ministries of Defence and Armed Forces in Indonesia and other countries of accreditation;
- to advise official Canadian representatives, in all countries of accreditation, on military matters and;
- to be the point of contact for defence and security matters of interest to Canada.
The CDA in Jakarta is also accredited to the following countries: Brunei Darussalam; Malaysia; Philippines; and Timor Leste.
Canadian Defence Adviser (CDA) is responsible for the conduct of the Defence Program.
