Development Cooperation

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is the principal vehicle of Canada's official development assistance around the world, committed to supporting sustainable development, reducing poverty and providing humanitarian assistance in order to promote a more secure, equitable and prosperous world.

Within the framework of its aid effectiveness agenda and to sharpen the focus of Canada's international assistance, the programme concentrates on the following three priority themes:
