The Embassy of Canada is pleased to announce the winners of the Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2015. The Award, whose aim is to strengthen the ties between the two countries in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation, has continued to experience a marked success in its third year, both due to the significant number of applications received and to their high quality. The Embassy thanks all the participants for their interest in Canada and looks forward to collaboration between the two countries continuing to flourish.
The winners of the Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2015 are:
Giancarlo Birello of the CNR/IRCrES of Torino for a project with the University of Prince Edward Island in the priority area of ICT
Mario Ganau of the University of Cagliari in collaboration with the University of Verona for a project with the University of Western Ontario in the priority area of Nanotechnology
Alessandro Pecora of the CNR/Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems of Rome for a project with the Simon Fraser University in the priority area of ICT
Francesca Soavi of the University of Bologna for a project with the Polytechnique of Montréal in the priority area of Energy/Environment
