The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada

A selection of thirty-four from the 2016 Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada will be exhibited in the E. H. Norman Library of the Embassy of Canada in Tokyo from July 4, 2017 to October 19, 2017.

The Alcuin Society is a voluntary association of people who care about the past, present and future of fine books. Founded in 1965, it is a non-profit organization in Canada dedicated to a broad range of interests related to books and reading. To support excellence in book design and production, it offers prestigious awards known as the Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada.

The awards are divided in eight categories: Children, Limited Editions, Pictorial, Poetry, Prose Fiction, Prose Non-Fiction, Prose Non-Fiction Illustrated, and Reference. All category winners will be exhibited in the E. H. Norman Library of the Embassy of Canada.

  • Closed on the Embassy closure dates and during the temporary closing period of the library in mid-August
