Canadian Book Reading for Children

"The Fantastic Flight of the Silver Dart"

Can you think of a special day in July in Canada? Of course, Canada Day on July 1st! But did you know that we have also an important week? – During Canada History Week which runs from July 1 to 7 each year, all Canadians are encouraged to visit a museum, tour one of our great national historic sites, or speak to a veteran, and learn what makes Canada the united, strong, and free country we live in today.

At the next book reading session we will read "The Fantastic Flight of the Silver Dart", a story of the Silver Dart – an aircraft which marked a milestone in aviation history in 1909, when it made the first powered flight in Canada. This book was generously donated by Canada Aviation Museum.
