Fee Schedule

New applications: Processing fees must be paid when the application is submitted.  The payment must be attached to the application form.  Refer to the fee schedule for current rates. Just before paying, check this webpage again for the up-to-date information. 

Current applications: If you are paying additional fees for an application currently being processed at this office, the payment must be attached to the letter from our office requesting the additional payment.

Family class applications: All applications for sponsored family class members must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Canada. For more information on how to pay and where to submit your application, please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.

Economic Class applications:

All applicants in the economic classes must submit their initial application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Canada. For more information on how to pay, visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.

Multiple entry visa: If you plan to visit Canada multiple times in the near future (for example on business or to visit family), you should consider applying for a multiple entry temporary resident visa. You may be granted a visa valid for up to 10 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

Payment of Fees:

Bank draft payment instructions:

Bank drafts are the only mode of payment accepted for visa applications. The bank draft must be either in Canadian dollars or Jordanian Dinars.

Bank draft payment instructions for all applications:

  • We do not accept personal, company cheques, credit cards.
  • Please ensure that the bank does not forward your bank draft to this office.
  • Your payment must accompany your application.
  • Pay the exact correct fee for your application (do not add cents). 
  • If you send your application to our office with an incorrect processing fee attached, it will be returned to you.
  • Bank drafts have a limited validity. Ensure that your bank draft is not older than 3 months when it reaches our office. 

Bank Drafts in Canadian Dollars:

The bank draft in Canadian dollars must be addressed to the: “Receiver General for Canada.” Please take note of the following:

  • Print your name on the back of the bank draft or certified cheque
  • Only bank drafts containing the name and complete address of the Canadian bank will be accepted.

Bank Drafts in Jordanian Dinars:

The bank draft in Jordanian dinars must be addressed to the: “Embassy of Canada.”Other instructions:

  • Cash payments are no longer accepted by the Embassy.
  • A receipt will be issued for each payment received. Please keep the receipt as proof of payment.
  • Processing fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
  • Do not send cash. We are not responsible for cash sent to our office.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Applicants for permanent residence can pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490) at the time they submit their application or at a later date when requested. The processing fee is still required when submitting an application.

The following applicants are not required to pay the RPRF:

  • dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild;
  • protected persons, including Convention refugees.
