Welcome to the Visa Section of the Embassy of Canada to Lebanon.

We provide temporary resident services (visit, study, work temporarily) to citizens of or persons legally admitted to Lebanon and Syria as well as immigration services to citizens of or persons legally admitted to Lebanon.

Important announcement

Visa Application Centre (VAC)

A NEW VAC opened in Beirut on June 12, 2013, and is located at Concord Center, Concord Street, Verdun,  7th floor.
As of June 12, all temporary resident applications (visitor visa, study or work permit) or permanent resident travel document applications should be submitted either online or through the VAC . By submitting an application through the VAC, you will be able to take advantage of the extended hours of service, more flexible payment methods, online tracking of your application, and the assurance that your application is complete and all the proper documentation is included.  We are confident that this will lead to more efficient processing of your application.

Biometric Requirement

As of December 11, 2013, Lebanese and Syrian citizens between the ages of 14 and 79 must give their biometrics (fingerprints and photographs) when submitting an application for a visitor visa, study permit or work permit. This new requirement affects citizens from 29 countries and one territory.

Notice: Starting Tuesday 1 April 2014, the visa section at the Embassy of Canada to Lebanon will discontinue receiving in-person applications for Temporary Residents: Visitors, Students, Workers and Permanent Resident Determinations.  Applicants are requested to submit their applications at the Visa Application Centre (VAC) located in Verdun/Beirut, Concord Plaza.  For clients who paid processing fees at Bank Audi and were given future dates to submit their applications at the visa section at the Embassy of Canada, are requested to submit their applications along with the processing fees receipt at the VAC in Verdun/Beirut. Clients applying through the on-line system (E-apps) are requested to go to the VAC for Biometric intake.
