As part of efforts to strengthen Canada's relations with Southwestern states, Consul General David Fransen met this month with Governor of Nevada Brian Sandoval and Governor of New Mexico Susana Martinez.

In Washington D.C. May 15, 2012 for the New Mexico Amigos outreach visit to the Capitol, Consul General Fransen and Canadian Ambassador Gary Doer met with Governor Susana Martinez to discuss the Canada-New Mexico relationship and areas of possible partnership.
