Canada’s Minister of State (Finance), the Honourable Ted Menzies opened the Financial Times (FT) Global Investment Series: Focus on Canada Conference on September 23, 2011 featuring the ICT and entertainment sector (gaming, digital animation, visual effects and software) and gave the keynote address which elaborated on Canada’s strong economic fundamentals, while highlighting Canada’s excellent business environment. More than 130 senior level delegates attended the series, hosted by the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles and the Financial Times that featured a variety of senior-level speakers, representing Google, Warner Bros., Activision, Cirque du Soleil, and Christie.
