VerdeXchange 2012: Bridging Cleantech from California to Canada
International and local leaders, business professionals, political officials, and the academic community joined together at the 2012 VerdeXchange Green Marketmakers Conference from January 23-24, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Canada’s presence heavily influenced international discussions and strengthened strategic local relationships. As a core partner in the annual VerdeXchange conference, Canada leveraged its presence through multiple initiatives, including a dinner at the Official Residence and inclusion of Canadian speakers on panels. Canadian speakers included the Consul General of Canada David Fransen, Jon Dogterom (Cleantech Practice Lead at MaRS Discovery District), Celine Bak (Founder of Analytica Advisors and Cleantech Global Practice Lead at DFAIT), and Paul Mertes (CEO of Mertes Management Company and Managing Director of VerdeXchange Canada). VerdeXchange plans to host its second annual international conference in Toronto in September 2012.
