Consular Fees

Detailed information on Consular Fees

Please refer to the following document for consular fees in Canadian Dollars and Mexican Pesos: Consular fees for the current month.

Fees can be paid in the following manner:

  • Payable in cash (when the applicant comes in person to the Embassy) in Mexican currency at the current exchange rate used by the Embassy.
    Canadian dollars in cash are only accepted for applications made in person, provided change is available. Please note that we can only accept Canadian dollar bills which are not damaged or marked in any way. Canadian coins will not be accepted.
  • By certified cheque ("cheque certificado") in Mexican currency only payable to "Embajada de Canadá".
  • By bank draft ("cheque de caja") in Mexican currency. Cheque should be made payable to "Embajada de Canadá".
    Obtainable at any bank, without the need to have a bank account at the institution.

  • By Visa and MasterCard credit card or international debit card. Please complete and sign the Credit Card Authorization and attach it to your service request. This form is mandatory in order to process your credit/debit card payment. Credit/Debit card payment can also be made in person.
  • No other form of payment (including money orders) will be accepted.
