Diplomatic or Official Visitor Visa Applications
The Visa Section in Mexico City is the sole office responsible for processing visas. The consulates elsewhere in Mexico do not process visas.
Please note that no fee is required, provided the trip is official travel.
Mexican citizens with diplomatic or official passports:
- Visa application form (IMM 5257) | PDF * (325 KB)
- Two recent passport photographs (PDF * 493 KB)
- Original and photocopy of diplomatic or official passport
- Note Verbale (Diplomatic note) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores - SRE), or from another official Mexican governmental organisation, indicating position, reason and duration of the trip, if the trip is private or official, itinerary of trip with dates
Upon request you may have to submit the following additionnal forms.
