Children Travelling Apart from Parent(s)
Due to ongoing global efforts to reduce child abductions and child smuggling, concerns may be raised when immigration officers at ports of arrival are confronted with children who are travelling apart from one or both parents. In cases where a child needs to travel without one or both parents, it is crucial to ensure that the child is in possession of documentation which will satisfy immigration officers as to the reasons for travel and offer assurance that the child is not at risk.
