Once you have read the Eligibility Criteria section on this website, you can then go ahead and complete the required forms, attach the required supporting documents, arrange payment of the participation fee, confirm the application package is complete and the information correct, and send in your application package.
The application process to participate in the International Experience Canada (IEC) initiative involves two stages:
Note: Please arrange your documents in the order indicated above.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you have signed twice on the IEC application form (page 2 of 6 and page 6 of 6). If any of these are unsigned, the application will be returned to you unprocessed.
All documents must be submitted in English or French or, if not in English or French, they must be accompanied by an official English or French translation.
We keep all the documents you send us, so please keep copies for your files.
The High Commission of Canada in New Zealand reserves the right to request additional supporting documents and/or proceed with additional verifications (for example, request original documents). Incomplete, unsigned and non-compliant application packages will not be processed. The application will be returned to the applicant’s New Zealand mailing address and the applicant will need to resubmit the application.
WARNING: Misrepresentation
All applicants are legally required to be truthful and disclose all relevant information with their applications. Applicants who submit application packages that contain misrepresented information, knowingly or unknowingly, will be denied entry to Canada and may also be banned from travelling to Canada. The details of the misrepresentation will remain permanently on record with Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency. IMPORTANT: Make sure to submit a correct and complete application
Recheck that you have put together a complete and correct application as incorrect applications are returned to the applicants unprocessed and will cause delays.
After your complete application has been received and IEC has determined that you meet the IEC eligibility criteria, you will be sent a Conditional Acceptance Letter via email which includes your World Tracking Number.
Once you have received the IEC conditional acceptance letter, you will be directed to create a <MyCIC> account to begin the Immigration assessment of your application process.
To communicate with the visa and immigration service, email their services directly. Always include your World Tracking Number in any correspondence.
The High Commission of Canada is not able to respond to questions about the evaluation of your admissibility through MyCIC.
