Fees
New applications: Processing fees must be paid when the application is submitted. The only acceptable payment is by Naira bank draft. Refer to the fee schedule link for current rates, bank draft details and approved banks. Check this webpage again just before paying for the up-to-date information.
Current applications: If you are paying additional fees for an application currently being processed in Lagos, the bank draft must be attached to the letter from our Visa Section requesting the payment.
Bank Draft instructions:
- Print the Passport number of the principal applicant on the back of the bank draft.
- The draft must be made payable to "DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSION OF CANADA".
- The draft must be Payable in lagos.
- The draft must indicate if the second signature is not required.
- Your payment must accompany your application.
- Please ensure that the bank does not forward your bank draft or certified cheque to this office.
- If your application is received at this office without the correct processing fee attached, it will be returned to you.
Other instructions:
- A receipt will be issued for each payment received. Please keep the receipt as proof of payment.
- Processing fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
- Do not send cash. We will not be responsible for cash sent to our office.
Important: Bank drafts have a limited validity. Ensure that your bank draft is not older than four months when it reaches this office.

The fees in Naira are updated periodically according to the exchange rate. Payments must be for the exact amount indicated.
