If you have a valid Canadian Driver's licence, an International Driving Permit may be obtained via the:

For renewal etc. of your Canadian Driver's please consult the province which issued it. A list of the provincial authorities can be found on Transport Canada's website.
Residence in Norway
When you arrive in Norway, if you have held a Canadian driving licence for a minimun of 12 months before leaving Canada, you have up to 12 months to exchange your Canadian licence for a Norwegian licence. After that time you will be required to take full driver training and driver's test in order to obtain a Norwegian licence.
However, due to the fact that you are only permitted to drive in Norway with a Canadian licence for a period of 3 months after taking residence in Norway, we would strongly recommend that you contact the Norwegian authorities - Biltilsynet - within the first three months of residence.
