All applications must be submitted by COURIER. Only persons who have an interview letter are admitted inside the High Commission in Islamabad.
For applicants from Afghanistan: As it is illegal to mail passports across international borders, all applications for temporary resident visas must be submitted from within Pakistan. Applicants must also provide an address within Pakistan to which the application can be returned upon completion of processing.
Family class applications: All applications for sponsored family class members must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Canada. For more information on how to pay and where to submit your application, refer to Sponsoring Your Family.
All applicants in the economic classes must submit their initial application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Canada. For more information on how to submit your application, please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.
The Canadian High Commission in Islamabad strongly suggests that applicants who are eligible to submit their applications directly to our office submit their applications and passports using the courier services of TCS or Gerry's/FedEx. For a list of locations, please visit the following websites:

If invited to attend an interview, applicants MUST present the interview letter to the guards and to the receptionist. There will be no exceptions. Applicants who arrive and state that they have an appointment but are not in possession of the interview letter will not be admitted to the premises.
