Temporary Resident Applications and Travel Documents for Returning Permanent Residents

The Canadian Embassy in Manila uses the services of PIASI Visa application facilities within the Philippines to expedite the application process for the following types of application:

  • Visitor Visa
  • Study Permit
  • Temporary Work Permit
  • Live-in Caregiver Work Permit
  • Re-entry Visa for returning students, workers or live-in caregivers
  • Permanent Resident Travel Document

To submit your application, please contact the PIASI call centre at the numbers below. Customer Service Representatives are available to assist you Mondays to Saturdays from 8am to 6pm.

Once a schedule has been arranged, your completed application will be picked up by a courier at your address and will be delivered to our office for processing. The courier service is available all over the Philippines. Please note that an incomplete application will be returned at your expense. Once your application has been processed, the result will be returned to you with your passport and documents via courier.

Please note:

  • These numbers are only available to callers within the Philippines through touchtone phones with NDD access or through your telephone service provider’s operator-assisted connection.
  • All landline calls are charged a toll call charge costing P32.00 (pesos) per minute excluding VAT and applicable NDD charges for calls made outside Metro Manila.
  • Additional rates may apply for calls made through payphones, prepaid phone cards or mobile phones. Kindly check with your provider for details.

We encourage all applicants to submit their applications using the above services. Temporary resident applications and travel document applications may also be submitted by mail, courier, or drop-box, however please note that in this case there may be significantly longer delays in processing times.

Immigration Applications

The following categories of applications for immigration may be submitted by mail, courier, or drop-box to our office:

  • Sponsored Family Members (Parents, Grandparents, Other Relatives)
  • Dependent(s) of Live-in Caregiver
  • Investor
  • Entrepreneur
  • Self-Employed
  • Provincial Nominee

Important Note:

  • Skilled worker applications (without validated arranged employment) must be submitted directly to our office in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Refer to the CIC website for more information.
  • Spouses and dependent children: these applications should not be submitted directly to our office. Refer to the CIC website for more information.

Additional Documents or Information

Additional documents for any type of application may be submitted by mail, courier, or drop-box. If you wish to provide updated information, you may also send it by email through our webform. When submitting documents or updates, always include the following information:

  • file number, if available
  • full name
  • date of birth
  • mailing address
  • telephone and fax number
  • nationality

Please note that due to the volume of correspondence received at our office, we cannot send an acknowledgement of receipt for documents and information received.

Passports

It is highly recommended to submit your passport by courier.

Citizens of Japan, unless applying for a permanent resident travel document, do not need to submit their passport. Japanese applicants should submit only a photocopy of the bio-data page of each applicant’s passport.

You may submit information by email using this webform. After you have sent your e-mail, you will receive an automatic message acknowledging that we have received it. This message will be sent to the e-mail address that you entered on the webform. If you do not receive this message within 24 hours, then it may be in your junk mail box or you may have entered your email address incorrectly.
