Human Resources Development Canada can search to find if a person has contributed to, or is receiving benefits from, the Canada Pension Plan. The person's full name and exact date of birth will be required for this type of search. If a record of the person is found the name, address and telephone number of the person making the enquiry will be passed on. Please note that the National Search Unit cannot search for a parent. There can be no exception to the rule regardless of the circumstances which have caused the parent to be separated from the child and regardless of the child's age.
