Today, the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations honoured the memory of those who died in military service during a Remembrance Day ceremony with Commonwealth countries at the UN Chapel.
His Excellency Gilles Rivard, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Canada to the UN, laid the Canadian wreath alongside Sergeant Lisa Briand of the Mission’s Military Section.
Remembrance Day commemorates generations of young men and women who lost their lives fighting for their countries and defending values of freedom and democracy.
