What's New?

New payment method for passport and consular services

The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada has recently implemented a new worldwide credit card payment method. All applications paid by credit card now require a new fully completed payment form. These payments are subject to a service charge.

Methods of payment

Credit : Credit card payments are processed through an online processing agent. Please complete the authorization form.
The form must reflect the exact charges for services requested and be completed in Canadian dollars. Failure to complete the form in full or authorize the correct fees may result in delays to your application.
Bank draft: payable to "Embassy of Canada in Riyadh" (SAR)
Cash: Only for walk-in applications, and in case a credit card is not available  (SAR)
Personal cheque: not accepted
*Administrative fees of $1.50 CAD per $50.00 CAD transaction will be charged separately by the processing agent and should not be included in the total amount authorized.

Processing times

We are currently experiencing a high volume of applications and the current processing time is twenty business days.

Elimination of 48-page passport

In preparation for the global deployment of the Canadian ePassport and in accordance with Canada’s Passport and Other Travel Document Services Fees Regulations, effective May 27,2013 Passport Canada is no longer issuing the 48 page passport.
