The Consulate General of Canada in Seattle offers internships to qualified students enrolled in an accredited university, college or community college in our three-state territory of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The program provides interns with valuable work experience that also relates to their academic studies. Students from a variety of academic disciplines/majors may find the internship valuable including Political Science, International Relations, Communications, Economics, Environmental Studies and Geography. Internship positions are unpaid though interns are encouraged to seek course-credit through their academic institution.
Internships are for a minimum of 12 weeks and applicants must be willing to commit at least 20 hours a week to their internship.
