In order to minimize delays we recommend that applicants for temporary residence submit applications at a visa application centre (VAC) available in the following locations: Abidjan, Bamako, Dakar, Guinea Conakry, Niamey and Yaounde.
If you are outside of Senegal, and choose not to use the services of a VAC, you may submit by mail, using a courier service. You must provide an addressed pre-paid return envelope.

Application for a Study Permit:
11. Letter of admission for the session you intend to attend + CAQ (if studies will take place in Quebec).
12. Diplomas and marks sheets from the past three (3) years.

If you are applying in Senegal, you may submit your application in person, by appointment. The Visa section is open to the public for enquiries and to schedule appointments on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and for the submission of visa applications (by appointment only) on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Excluding holiday closures.
Passports cannot be retrieved in person. You must submit a pre-paid return envelope when you submit your application in person at the visa office.
Family Class: All applications to sponsor a family class member must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre in Canada. For more information on how to submit your application and the forms of payment, refer to Sponsoring Your Family.
Economic Class
All applicants in these classes must submit their initial application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Canada. For more information on how to submit your application, please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.
Due to a temporary moratorium on accepting new applications in the federal entrepreneur program, the visa office will not accept any entrepreneur applications that arrive at the visa office on or after July 1, 2011. These applications will be returned to the applicant.
All applicants in these classes must submit complete applications to this visa office by mail (for applicants outside of Senegal) or in person, by appointment, at the Embas sy of Canada in Dakar, Senegal.
