Fees

New applications: Processing fees must be paid when the application is submitted. The original copy of the payment must be attached to the application form. Refer to the fee schedule for current rates. Check this webpage again just before paying for the up-to-date information.

Current applications: If you are paying additional fees for an application currently being processed in Dakar, the payment must be attached to the letter from our office requesting the additional payment.

Family class applications: All applications for sponsored family class members must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre in Canada. For more information on how to pay and where to submit your application, see our CIC website.

Economic Class applications:

All applicants in these classes must submit their initial application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. For more information on how to pay, visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website

Payment Instructions:

  1. To pay in Canadian dollars

    Payment must be sent to Dakar and paid by bank draft or certified cheque in Canadian dollars payable to the Receiver General for Canada, and should be cleared by a Canadian bank. Cheques issued in Canadian dollars by a bank located outside of Canada must clearly indicate the complete address and account number of the corresponding bank in Canada or the institution where the check may be cashed in Canada (Your bank can provide this).

  2. To pay in local currency

All Right of Permanent Resident Fees (RPRF) linked to an application in progress must be accompanied by the letter from the Visa and Immigration office requesting payment of these expenses. Your proof of payment must be included with your application.

Other instructions:

  • A receipt will be issued for each payment received at one of the partnering financial institutions. Please attach the original receipt to your application and keep a copy of the receipt as proof of payment.
  • Processing fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
  • Do not send cash. We will not be responsible for cash sent to our office.

Important: Bank draft and certified cheque have a limited validity. Ensure that your bank draft or certified cheque is not older than 180 days when it reaches our office.
