Defence Relations

The Canadian Defence Advisor (CDA) is to represent the interests of the Department of National Defence in the Republic of South Africa and the other countries to which he is accredited. He advises the Canadian Heads of Mission in all countries of accreditation on military matters and reports to the National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa on all matters of military and security interest in the region.

The CDA Pretoria is presently accredited to the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
