Biography

Susan Bincoletto (MA [Economics], University of Ottawa, 1984; Advanced Management Program, Harvard Business School, 2011) joined the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada in 2013 as assistant deputy minister, international business development, investment and innovation, and as chief trade commissioner.

From 2000 to 2013, she served as chief financial officer; assistant deputy minister of spectrum, information technologies and telecommunication sector; and assistant deputy minister, strategic policy sector, at Industry Canada.

Ms. Bincoletto has also held various positions in the Privy Council Office and the Department of Finance Canada, where she started her career in 1984.

On August 21st, 2017, Ms. Bincoletto was appointed Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation with concurrent accreditation to the Principality of Liechtenstein.

She is married to Thierry Montpetit and they have two adult children.
