How to Submit an Application

A NEW visa application centre (VAC) opened in Tunis on April 25, 2013, and is located at Emeraude Building- Rue du Lac Wendermere – Les Berges du Lac 1, Tunis. Effectively immediately, all temporary resident (visitor visa, study or work permit) or permanent resident travel document applications should be submitted either online or through the VAC. The visa office will not accept mail-ins and will only accept in person applications by appointment.

If you do not apply either online or through the VAC you need to schedule an appointment by email to submit an application. You will not be able to submit an application without first obtaining an appointment. Please note that the current wait time for an interview is roughly two months.

Appointments are only available:

Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:00
excluding holiday closures

To obtain an appointment you will need to provide the following information:

Your surname and given name
Your passport number
The number of persons who will be travelling to Canada with you
The type of visa requested: temporary resident (visitor visa, study or work permit) application or travel document for permanent resident abroad.
Your cell phone number and email address

On the day of your appointment you must provide your written confirmation of the appointment to be admitted to the Immigration Section of the Embassy.
