Unicameral Parliament (also known as Supreme Council or Umaghlesi Sabcho) made up of 150 seats: 75 members elected by proportional representation, 75 from single-seat constituencies, serving four-year terms. The President is Head of State and the Higher Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of Georgia, which includes direct responsibility for the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Defence. The Prime Minister is Head of Government. Administrative divisions: 9 regions, 1 city (Tbilisi), and 2 autonomous republics (Abkhazia and Adjara). Governing party: Georgian Dream Coalition (GDC).
