On 24 May, Ambassador John T. Holmes met with representatives of the Mersin Commodities Exchange and Mediterranean Exports Union to discuss commercial and investment opportunities between Canada and Turkey.
In the meeting, Ambassador Holmes put great emphasis on the existing commercial links between the two countries and the potential for further engagement. He raised awareness about Canada’s dynamic economy among the business community of Mersin, one of the most important economic hubs in Turkey thanks to its strategic location and rich agriculture sector.
