Visa Requirements for the United Arab Emirates

It is the sole prerogative of each country or region to determine who is allowed to enter.
The following information on entry and exit requirements has been obtained from the authorities of the United Arab Emirates. However, these requirements are subject to change at any time. It is the traveller's responsibility to check with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates for up-to-date information.

A valid Canadian passport is required for Canadians intending to visit the United Arab Emirates. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into the country.

As of June 1st, 2013, Canadians with a regular Canadian passport no longer need to obtain a visa prior to their arrival to the UAE. An entry stamp will be given at the airport, free of charge, and valid for 30 days.  For more details please refer to the Travel Report and the UAE Embassy's website.

Overstays : A penalty charge of 25 to 100 AED per day is imposed on visitors who overstay. If the overstay extends to a significant amount of time, then a court hearing is issued and the judge will decide what penalties will occur.
