For the return of your passports
For applications submitted online:
You will receive a letter with the instructions regarding the submission and return of your passport. You cannot submit your passport ahead of receiving the said letter.
For applications submitted through the Visa Application Center (VAC):
Please consult the VAC website. Passports submitted through the VAC will be returned through the VAC.
For applications submitted at the Visa section of the embassy:
You may either pick-up your passport in person at the Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi during our service hours or have your passport returned via Aramex courier.
To receive your passports by Aramex courier, you must include either:
1) A self-addressed pre-paid Aramex airway bill with the following information clearly written:
Receiver information:
- Your complete name
- Your complete physical address (NO P.O. BOX)
- Your phone number (country code + area code + phone number)
- Alternative contact information (country code + area code + phone number), if applicable.

2) A self-addressed (C4 or C5 sized) envelope with the following information clearly typed or written at the back of the envelope:
- Your complete name
- Your complete physical address (NO P.O. BOX)
- Your phone number (country code + area code + phone number)
- Alternative contact information (country code + area code + phone number) , if applicable.
Passports are very valuable and we want to ensure that they are returned to you safely. It is in your best interest to complete the airway bill or return envelope yourself. If you send your passport without providing this information, the return of your passports will be delayed.
All Canadian visa applicants applying through our office will receive the following specially negotiated rates from Aramex for the return of passports by courier:

IMPORTANT:
- If you do not submit a self-addressed Aramex airway bill or a self-addressed envelope, the return of your passport will be delayed.
- We will only return passports through Aramex.
- Self-addressed airway bills from other courier companies will returned back to you unused.
- All courier charges are shouldered by the applicant(s).
